Trump Demands VOTER ID requirement for 2026 midterms - 86% of dumbo Democrats agree!!
In defense of Democrats who support VOTER ID laws, on the face of it, it sounds like a good idea and Republicans have cheerfully presented their defective, inapplicable rational:
*You need a Driver's license to do this, that and the other thing; so what's wrong with requiring State ID to vote?
*Democrats just want to allow illegals to vote for Democrats in elections.
What Democrats don't understand is:
*prior to 2006, no U.S. state ever required a voter to produce a state-issued ID to vote;
*contrary to 45 years of Republicans falsely claiming that illegal aliens are voting in our elections, study after study proved that virtually NO undocumented immigrants have been voting in U.S. elections.
*VOTER ID is an unconstitutional poll tax on the voter, similiar to Jim Crow voting requirements for blacks;
*in 2006 Wisconsin Republicans tested and found that imposing a VOTER ID requirement law COULD REDUCE the non-white vote by as much as 20% in each state.
That's why red state Republicans began increasing the cost of a certified birth certificate to as much as $120 - effectively eliminating poor voters, most of whom are black, non-white.
That's why red state Republicans embarked on their mission to implement VOTER ID laws in red states, seeking to impose VOTER ID on all states.
Only a sociopath would derive pleasure and satisfaction from denying blacks and women their right to vote.
Republicans do not believe blacks and women should be voting or doing manly things that only a man should be doing - like voting for instance.
The 2006 Wisconsin midterms was the first time in our nation's history that voters were required to produce a state-issued ID card in order to cast a vote.
This is worth restating: since our nation was formed in 1776, no voter ever used any ID card to vote -- UNTIL the 2006 Wisconsin midterms.
Republicans enjoyed so much success in suppressing the black and minority vote that the Republican Party initiated a full court press on implementing VOTER ID laws all across America.
Incredibly and unfortunately establishment Democrats fell for the Republican ruse and began ENDORSING GOP VOTER ID LAWS!!!!!
Trump has been lying and lying about the need for VOTER ID laws because Trump claims that illegal aliens are voting in our elections. Simply not true.
Trump knows that requiring poor voters to pay for a certified birth certificate AND a state-issued ID card will keep many poor voters out of the voting booths.
Democrats have failed to sufficiently push back against Trump's lies.
